Mr. Weiss has over 22 years of professional experience in the commercial real estate and accounting industries with a career that has focused on property management and real estate accounting.
As a Property Manager for Equity Office Properties, he held full management responsibility for a commercial property portfolio encompassing over 2.3 million square feet in downtown Chicago. As Property Manager he maximized financial performance of the properties by controlling expenses, lowering accounts receivable and implementing an aggressive tenant retention program. During his tenure at Equity Office he also held positions of Assistant Property Manager and Assistant Controller.
Mr. Weiss's extensive professional career includes an Accounting Supervisor position for Brauvin Real Estate Funds, and a Senior Auditor position for Altschuler, Melvoin and Glasser where he successfully served a range of corporate and partnership clients, including real estate, manufacturing distribution and retail.
Mr. Weiss is an active member of the Chicago Association of Realtors. His community involvement includes volunteering for the Robert H. Lurie Cancer Walk, Gladstone Elementary School Principal For A Day and the Chicago Cares Serve-a-thon.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern Illinois University, is a Certified Public Accountant, holds an Illinois Real Estate License, and is a BOMI designated Real Property Administrator.
