Director Accounting
Blake Winemiller has a background of over 10 years in the real estate industry, working for a variety of management and development companies in the retail, office, and residential sectors. He has experience in all facets of real estate accounting, including financial reporting, budgeting and re-forecasting, cash management, and financial modeling.
Prior to joining the Circle Team, Mr. Winemiller was an Accounting Manager at Joseph Freed and Associates, LLC, one of the largest privately-owned real estate development companies in the Midwest. In this role, Mr. Winemiller was responsible for the financial reporting of a diverse portfolio of properties, including the high profile Block 37 project in downtown Chicago.
Previously, Mr. Winemiller held the position of Senior Accountant at the Chicago regional office for Lincoln Property Company, the fourth largest property manager in the United States, with over 130,000 apartment units currently under management. While in this position, Mr. Winemiller was responsible for completing full-cycle accounting functions for both fee-based third party management and Lincoln-owned assets.
Mr. Winemiller got his start in real estate accounting as a Staff Accountant for Hamilton Partners, a leader in the Chicago office building management market. While in this role, he was involved in the day to day accounting functions for a portfolio of office buildings and was responsible for monthly financial reporting to internal ownership groups, joint venture partners, and lenders.
He holds a Bachelors degree in Accounting from Eastern Illinois University and is a CPA.
